2003 Teaching Qualification at Stafford College 2004 Moved to Wales
I trained as both a traditional figurative sculptor and as a ceramicist. Taking the human figure as my inspiration, I make both glazed and unglazed work and use surface textures and printing on the clay
to create a variety of finishes.
My sculptures are all hand-made and include both individually-made sculptures and limited editions. I make (on commission) large scale garden sculptures and traditional portrait busts. I also create
monotype pictures.
I use mainly stoneware architectural clay or Earthstone hand-building material by Scarva.
I have my own workshop and studio facilities in Wales with two gas fired kilns. I have developed a range of glazes and firing techniques.
In addition to my creative work I have run residential courses and lectured at Stafford College and Wolverhampton University.
My work is on display at a number of galleries throughout the UK.
